Most eastbound traffic operates via Council Bluffs and thence compass north to Missouri Valley, where the line heads northeastward to follow the Boyer River valley toward Dennison. Westbound traffic operates via Blair, NE on a shorter route to Fremont, NE that bypasses Council Bluffs, hence the manifest is headed almost due west. |
